Description

PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Black, Size 2-0, 8 x 30", with SH Taper Point Needles, is a sterile, nonabsorbable surgical suture made from natural silk. The organic protein base is purified by removing inherent waxes and gums, resulting in a clean, biocompatible material suited for long-term wound support in various surgical applications.

The suture is coated with a specially formulated wax mixture that enhances its handling properties and minimizes tissue drag during placement. This coating also reduces the potential for capillarity, limiting fluid migration along the suture strand and contributing to reduced infection risk in the surgical site.

The SH needle is a 1/2 circle taper point needle constructed from stainless steel. It is designed for soft tissue penetration, allowing for smooth and precise insertion with minimal tissue trauma. The taper point design makes it especially effective in subcutaneous and soft tissue procedures where cutting needles are unnecessary.
